Winning Condition:
Victory is attained by reducing your opponent's General's health from 25 to 0.
Battle Unit:
Each Battle Unit possesses four attributes: Cost, Attack, Health, and Ability. Battle Units, also referred to interchangeably as Minions, are capable of movement and combat on the battlefield.
Spell:
Spells typically target empty tiles, minions, or have a global effect. Spells cast on Minions endure indefinitely unless dispelled.
Artifact:
Artifacts can only be equipped by your General, endowing them with unique abilities. All Artifacts commence with a Durability of 3. Whenever your General sustains damage, the Durability of the Artifact diminishes by 1. Once the Durability of an Artifact depletes to 0, it is destroyed. Your General may equip up to 3 Artifacts simultaneously, including duplicates.
Card Deck:
Each deck must consist of precisely 40 cards, comprising Battle Units, Spells, and Artifacts. You may include up to 3 copies of the same card. Additionally, players have the option to supplement their decks with Neutral Minions, with no limitations on the ratio of Minions, Spells, and Artifacts.
Resource Expenditure:
Core resources serve as the fundamental currency for executing actions such as summoning Minions, casting Spells, and utilizing Artifacts. Positioned at the bottom of your screen is the Action Bar, housing 4 Active Slots. Every turn, any empty slots within your Action Bar are replenished with cards drawn randomly from your remaining deck. Once Minions and Spells are played, they are permanently removed from your deck. Additionally, each turn, you have the option to utilize the "Replace" button, which allows you to shuffle a card back into your deck and immediately draw a new one to replace it.
Minions - Battle Units:
Battle Units (Minions) Summoning: Your minions from the Action Bar can be summoned adjacent to ANY of your friendly minions already on the battlefield. Once on the battlefield, a minion can only perform one action per turn, defined as a move, move-attack, or attack. A newly summoned minion cannot take an action on the same turn unless it possesses the 'Rush' ability.
Movement: Minions on the battlefield have the ability to move up to 2 tiles per turn. They can navigate through friendly minions but are obstructed by enemy minions. Flying minions, however, have unrestricted movement across the battlefield.
Attack: Minions are limited to attacking adjacent spaces, encompassing the surrounding 8 tiles. Ranged minions, on the other hand, have the capability to attack from any position on the battlefield.
Combat Resolution: Minions reduced to 0 Health are immediately destroyed and removed from the battlefield. Whenever a minion or General is attacked, they retaliate with a counterattack (Strikeback), resulting in an exchange of blows.
Facing: For Player 1 (starting on the left side), summoned minions always face right (-->). Conversely, for Player 2 (starting on the right side), minions face left (<--). There is no 'up' or 'down' facing within the game.
Taking Turns - (1v1 or 1vAi):
Each match commences with Player 1 possessing 2 Cores and Player 2 with 3 Cores. At the onset of your turn, your Total Cores increase by 1, capped at a maximum of 9 Total Cores. Your turn concludes once you've exhausted all available actions. In live matches, you are allotted 90 seconds to complete your turn. If you deplete your entire deck, your General incurs [-1, -2, -3, ...] damage at the conclusion of each subsequent turn.
Terrain: A standard Battlefield comprises 5 x 9 tiles, with Player 1 positioned on the left side and Player 2 on the right. Tiles may confer temporary bonuses if occupied by your minion during that turn (e.g., +1 Core Globe). Additionally, tiles may trigger environmental effects such as damage, healing, or global bonuses affecting friendly or enemy minions.
Mulligan:
At the onset of the match, each player has the option to mulligan their initial set of 4 cards. Players can select the cards they wish to mulligan (set aside), and the system will draw replacement cards from their deck, subsequently shuffling the mulliganed cards back into the deck.
Card Rarity:
Basic cards cannot be disenchanted. There exist 6 Rarity tiers: Basic (not displayed), Common (white), Rare (blue), Epic (purple), Legendary (orange), and Mythron (green).
